What is Jagged Alliance Online?

Jagged Alliance Online is a turn-based tactical game and is part of the popular Jagged Alliance series. Using the Unity 3D plug-in, players can create their own company of mercenaries and complete a variety of missions all around the world. These missions, played on a tactical map, can be played using more than 60 unique mercenaries and hundreds of different weapons.

Can Jagged Alliance Online be played yet?

JAO is currently in a closed testing phase. This means that only a fraction of the game accounts that have been registered to play the game via its official website have been unlocked. We will be activating new accounts at irregular intervals, so players that register later will also have a chance to participate in testing. Until then, players can get the latest news and stay up-to-date through the JAO Facebook page or the official forum.

What is planned for Jagged Alliance Online in the future?

Jagged Alliance Online will be launched in the first quarter of 2012 with more than 100 PvE missions and a PvP mode that includes a number of different mission objectives. One of the features that is planned for after the game's launch is a co-op mode that will allow players to complete tough mission objectives together with their friends.

Is Jagged Alliance Online turn-based?

Yes, in keeping with the rest of the Jagged Alliance series, JAO will feature turn-based battles. So players who have come to know and love the rest of the series will feel right at home in Jagged Alliance Online.

Which of the mercenaries featured in previous parts of the series will be playable?

The majority of the 60+ unique mercenaries available for hire in JAO are familiar faces from previous Jagged Alliance games. Shadow, Ivan, Raven and Gus are just a few of the well-known characters that will also be playable in JAO.
